"Bird's Eye View"


Lying in this shield we spin,
We taunt the jealous, wailing wind.
We find serenity far above
The heartless ground so void of love.

We'll watch, from our tower,
For unspoken hours,
Our glistening domain
Of sapphire sunsets 
Over melting glaciers,
And shed all our pain.
So come, take my hand,
You shan't be led astray.
You've transformed my eyesight!
I'll summon this sunlight!
It's here to stay.

I'll be your sentry, and you my elixir,
My wish-maker, dream-taker, and sanity-fixer.
Our separate paths, which led us here,
Were fated to foster an era of fear.
