"Virtual"

I'll stare at this glowing screen forever 
And bleed my eyes so that I can't see you there
When I close them.
I'll glare at the stars never more.
Nobody's listening but the silent space.

I'll pound on these buttons like a madman
And purge myself of these emotions
When the memory is too much to bear.
And every night I swear 
I'll never try again and won't waste
Another keystroke on you.

I'll play and I'll fight in a virtual war with myself
And everybody else (who are just like me).
In this neo-world all that we can see
Is a name and a game and word never heard
Never seen never known by anything
But love and respect and a calm right hand.

I'll live in this hidden world forever.
If I leave it I am seen, if seen then I am judged.
I don't need this anymore, I'll never be happy
With you people, you'll never make me happy.
You're not worth my hours away,
When all I want to do is lose myself and play.
And all I want to do is fight my feelings away.
